I love winter, especially when I can just sit down with some hot tea, and a good book and watch the snow falling outside. And oddly enough I dicided to take the most summer-y and colorful movies and make them more winter-y - cold in coloring and melancholy in mood. This set is combined from Asteroid City and The Grand Budapest Hotel for the Winter Solstice round at monthlyinspo.

I love the coloring of this batch! The cool blue winter theme really worked well. Plus this reminded me of how much fun I had watching Asteroid City.

Oh my God ! These are amazing ! I love the soft pastel coloring against negative bgs in 7, 10 and 15 so much. Also, I love the crop of 2, 5 , 11 and 13. Overall the lighting gives the feel of a foggy European town on a winter morning.

The strangest thing, really, but I was actually also in the process of making an Asteroid City set for this challenge. (Which I probably won't end up doing now, because my graphics program keeps crashing, so a (big) set is probably not going to happen.)

The light pastels of Asteroid City, when you emphasise the light and the colour white, become wintery, and I really love how you've used that haziness here, especially in the icons of Midge (2, 3). The combined set of AC and TGBH works so well, like that transition from a warmer, lighter blue to darker and colder shades, violet and grey in 6-10. The black and white icons are beautiful, as well, with 13 as the stand-out. The extras are great - again that haziness in 23. I'll certainly save many.

Hahaha, I think it's the huge contrast between the caps and the whole vibe of the movie - so vibrant and bright, that it was the perfect opposite to make them for winter and melancholy theme.
