83 ~ Dexter

Last week, for the first time, I binged all 8 season of Dexter. What can I say, I became obsessed, and my first tought after the first season was...they don't make them like this anymore. It was such a good, gritty, sometimes funny show. The characters were well developed, and honestly they were all likeable, and it's not the case for me with all the new shows. I can admit that seasons 1-4 were amazing, 5-8 were a bit more chaotic, and sometimes the plot didn't make sense, but still I had so much fun watching. While watching I multiple times thought, ohhhh, this shot would look so cool as an icon...so I just had to make a set, and then some. The crop based round at monthlyinspo was perfect for it!

One of the things I like here is that what I first see is a set of great icons, then I notice the cool crops. 10! 20! 25! Beautiful colour and use of texture in 16. Beautiful colour in 17, as well. I also really like the subtle but dramatic contrast and crop in 14.

Gorgeous set ! I absolutely love your close crops and how you use lighting in them to accentuate certain features. Like, 8, 9, 10, 18, 20 , 25. 29 and 32. 20 is amazing , the way it gives slightly rotated feel. 6, 11 and 16 in turn looks so soft and great use of pastel purple and green. 17 looks so bright and sunny, with such a perfect outdoor capture and reminiscent of summer days. I also like how you pushed the subject offcentre in 23 and let the sea site take center stage.

The clarity & coloring looks great and the crops on the ones you made for hidden, odd one, rotate and tbs look so cool! :) Speaking of binge watching, the other day, I also binge watched most of a TV show that I never saw before from the 2000s, called The Flight of the Conchords. ;)

Yeah, I saw What we do in the shadows, it's still one of my favorite Vampire parody movie. I googled the FotC, and it aounds like something I might enjoy so thanks fpr letting me know :)

Occupational hazard! :DD That happens to me *all the time* - but it makes my watching even slower, because I keep stopping to take caps. :D

I love the clean, block-colored ones the most. Also 6, 9, 10, and 19. Awesome focus in 18! Great shot of Dexter in 21, lovely no-negative-space-at-all in 26, and gorgeous noisy vibrance in 33.

Hahaha, what can I say I was working from home, and I I didn't do anything else on the weekends (it was a bit more than a week). I truly obsessed over it :)

your icons are chef's kiss literally. i don't know dexter at all and I'm afraid I won't have time to watch (i can't imagine 8 seasons in a week at all) but so many favourites in here!

first one that caught my eye (but i mean this entire set is so elegant!) is 35! What a beautiful shot, really understated. That foreground branch really brings quiet to the icon. then I move on to 34 because the gradient is magnificent, and then 33 because the composition is breathtaking, and then i go backwards and realize this is just a masterpiece. Yes, even the alts.

if i had to really pick, my faves are def 35, 26, 6, 9, 12.
